Living in Columbus, Ohio

Columbus is the big, friendly heart of Central Ohio: a growing city with one-of-a-kind neighborhoods, Ohio State, pro sports, a thriving food scene and a cost of living that still makes sense.

What homes cost. Across the Columbus metro, the median home sold for about $353,000 in the first half of 2026. Within the city, prices vary a lot by neighborhood, from affordable starter homes to historic showpieces.

Neighborhoods with personality. German Village's brick streets, the Short North's galleries and restaurants, tree-lined Clintonville and Victorian Village, and west-side favorites like Westgate and the Hilltop, where our team sells homes all the time.

Things to do. Ohio State football, Crew and Blue Jackets games, the Scioto Mile riverfront and an ever-growing restaurant scene.

Schools. Many Columbus addresses are in Columbus City Schools, but a large number fall into suburban districts like South-Western, Hilliard, Dublin and Westerville. Always confirm by address; we're happy to check for you.

Getting around. I-70, I-71 and the I-270 outerbelt connect every corner of the city, and John Glenn International Airport is close by.
